When reviewing the booklist on-line, what does ALREADY BILLED mean?

o  “Already Billed” denotes a course being instructed using DIRECT DIGITAL as selected by the instructor. Digital access to the course material was included in your course registration, and there should be nothing more to purchase. Your instructor will cover accessing the material in D2L on the first day of class. There are no physical books, the material is delivered digitally.

o  You will receive a confirming Direct Digital e-mail Friday 8/16. You do have the option to opt-out of the material until the CMU term add/drop date, however The Maverick Store recommends attending class first before making any opt-out decisions. Some course material has been customized by CMU faculty and there may not be an equivalent. Some course material may be courseware and necessary to complete the coursework.

When reviewing the booklist on-line, what do the different requirements mean?

o  “Required” denotes a course material that has been selected by the instructor and deemed necessary to successfully complete the course.

o  “Choice” denotes two or more course materials that the student can choose between to successfully complete the course. Any questions should be directed to the instructor directly.

o  “Optional” denotes a course material that is supplemental to the “required” course material. We recommend attending class before determining if you need to purchase the optional course material.

o  “No Text Required” denotes a course where there is no course material selected by the instructor. This occurs for a variety of reasons including the use of free OER materials, instructor developed material, or an activity base course like swimming, piano, ceramics, etc.
